Apple has once again raised the bar in personal audio with the launch of the AirPods Pro 3 at its Awe Dropping event alongside the iPhone 17 series and the latest Apple Watches. These new true wireless earphones combine superior sound quality with health focused features, turning them into much more than just a listening device.

The AirPods Pro 3 now come with a custom heart rate sensor that uses infrared light and motion tracking to monitor blood flow and exercise intensity. This means users can track heart rate, calories burned, and over 50 types of workouts directly from their earbuds, while syncing seamlessly with the Fitness app on their iPhone. Apple has even introduced a new Workout Buddy feature that provides motivational feedback and personalised insights during exercise.

On the audio front, Apple has significantly upgraded the listening experience. The AirPods Pro 3 bring an improved adaptive active noise cancellation system paired with transparency mode that makes surrounding voices sound more natural. Thanks to ultra low noise microphones, foam infused ear tips, and advanced computational audio, the earbuds deliver clearer vocals, deeper bass, and an expanded soundstage. The new multiport acoustic design ensures controlled airflow, further enhancing the immersive sound.

One of the standout additions is the support for lossless audio, which takes music quality to a new level. Apple has also introduced a Live Translation feature powered by Apple Intelligence, offering real time language translation during conversations. Users can hear translations directly in their ears and view live transcriptions on their iPhone, with support for multiple languages including English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, and more languages arriving later this year.

Health and accessibility remain central to Apple’s design. The AirPods Pro 3 reduce exposure to loud noise and add certified hearing protection in select regions. A Hearing Test powered by improved ANC provides more accurate results while Conversation Boost automatically amplifies voices and reduces background noise, helping those with hearing difficulties stay connected.

In terms of design, the AirPods Pro 3 are smaller and lighter with a new ergonomic fit. They now come with five ear tip sizes, including a new extra small option for better comfort. Both the earbuds and the redesigned charging case are IP57 rated for dust and water resistance. The case is sleeker, supports USB Type C charging, and is compatible with Qi2 wireless charging.

Battery life is another highlight, with each earbud delivering up to eight hours of playback. With Transparency mode enabled for hearing support, they can last up to ten hours on a single charge. The case extends total battery life to 24 hours with ANC turned on. Just five minutes of charging in the case provides an additional hour of playback, making them perfect for on the go use.

Priced at 25,900 rupees in India and 249 dollars in the US, the AirPods Pro 3 will be available starting September 19, with pre orders already open.

Apple has positioned the AirPods Pro 3 as the ultimate mix of sound, health, and connectivity. With lossless audio, live translation, advanced health tracking, and a redesigned ergonomic case, they are set to redefine what wireless earphones can offer.
