Apple has unveiled the newest generation of its smartwatches at its much anticipated Awe Dropping event alongside the iPhone 17 lineup. The Apple Watch Series 11, Watch Ultra 3, and Watch SE 3 bring fresh updates in design, health monitoring, and performance. Each model caters to a different audience but together they show Apple’s commitment to innovation in wearables.
The Apple Watch Series 11 is the successor to last year’s Series 10 and comes with a thinner design, tougher display glass, and advanced health sensors. It introduces hypertension notifications, an important addition that passively monitors long term cardiovascular health through the optical heart sensor. Users will also see improvements in sleep tracking with the new sleep score system, faster charging, and a full day of battery life. Available in aluminium and titanium options with multiple colours, the Series 11 feels like Apple’s most refined mainstream smartwatch yet.
The Watch Ultra 3 is Apple’s powerhouse wearable built for adventurers and professionals. It now comes with the largest display Apple has ever offered on a smartwatch, with thinner bezels and LTPO3 OLED technology for clear viewing from all angles. Battery performance has been significantly boosted with up to 42 hours on normal use and up to 72 hours in low power mode. A key highlight is the addition of two way satellite communication, which lets users send emergency alerts, messages, and share location even when cellular or Wi Fi networks are unavailable. It also supports faster charging where just 15 minutes can deliver up to 12 hours of use.
The Apple Watch SE 3 has also been refreshed after three years. It now features an always on display, live translations, and the new sleep score system. While it skips out on hypertension notifications, it still offers strong value with features like temperature sensing, retrospective ovulation tracking, and improved durability with four times more crack resistant glass. Built from recycled aluminium and powered by the Apple S10 chip, the SE 3 brings high end features to a more affordable price bracket.
All three smartwatches are 5G ready and come with WatchOS 26 out of the box. They are available for pre order in multiple markets including India, the US, the UK, and Japan, with sales beginning September 19. Pricing starts at 25,900 rupees for the SE 3, 46,900 rupees for the Series 11, and 89,900 rupees for the Watch Ultra 3.
Apple has clearly positioned its new smartwatch lineup to meet the needs of different users, from health conscious individuals to outdoor explorers and budget focused buyers. With the addition of new health monitoring systems, faster charging, and satellite connectivity, these smartwatches are more than just timepieces. They are turning into essential companions for daily life, fitness, and even safety.
