Samsung is reportedly preparing to introduce a new set of watch faces with the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 series. Ahead of the official reveal, references to these designs have been spotted in the Galaxy Watch 7 Manager app, offering a glimpse into the visual direction Samsung may be taking for its next generation of smartwatches. This leak adds to the growing anticipation for Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled to take place in New York on July 9.

According to a report by Android Authority, seven new watch face options were discovered through an APK teardown of the Galaxy Watch 7 Manager. These include Circle Info Board, Gradient Info Board, Heritage Classic, Interactive Number, Minimal Analog, Minimal Digital, and Sporty Classic. Each face appears to serve a different aesthetic and functional purpose. For example, the Circle Info Board and Gradient Info Board seem tailored for users who prefer having rich, detailed data displays right on their wrist. Meanwhile, the Minimal Analog and Minimal Digital designs cater to fans of cleaner, less cluttered visuals.

The Heritage Classic features a more traditional layout with a guilloche style design, offering a nostalgic take for users who still appreciate the elegance of analog timekeeping. The Interactive Number watch face adds a playful element with numbered blocks, while the Sporty Classic delivers an athletic aesthetic suited for fitness oriented users. All these styles show Samsung’s focus on blending functionality with personality, ensuring that users can match their watch face to their lifestyle or mood.

The Galaxy Watch 8 series itself is expected to bring more than just new watch faces. Rumours suggest it will feature a new squircle design across the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra 2 models. The base Galaxy Watch 8 is said to be available in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm, while the Watch 8 Classic could arrive in a single 47mm variant. Under the hood, these smartwatches are expected to be powered by the new Exynos W1000 chip and run on Samsung’s One UI 8 Watch interface.

Samsung has yet to confirm any official details about the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup or the new watch faces. However, with the Galaxy Unpacked event just around the corner, the tech giant is likely to unveil the full range of updates soon. These watch face leaks, combined with hardware and software enhancements, indicate that Samsung is preparing a well rounded upgrade aimed at enhancing both the look and usability of its wearable devices.

As anticipation builds, fans and tech enthusiasts are eager to see how Samsung’s new wearables will stack up against the competition and how the brand plans to elevate its smartwatch experience in 2025.
