Honor has added a new device to its Play series lineup with the reported launch of the Honor Play 10. The smartphone is positioned as a budget friendly option that offers essential features like a big battery, expandable storage, and dust and splash protection. While the company has not made an official announcement yet, details of the device have surfaced online, creating buzz among users looking for a reliable everyday phone.

The Honor Play 10 is said to come with a 6.74 inch HD Plus display that offers a resolution of 720 by 1600 pixels. This screen size makes it suitable for casual video streaming, browsing, and social media use. At its core, the smartphone runs on a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, which is paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. For those who need more space, the storage can reportedly be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.

The device runs on Android Go Edition, a lightweight version of Android that is optimized for smoother performance on entry level hardware. This ensures users get a responsive and efficient experience even with modest specifications.

Photography needs are handled by a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. Both sensors support 1080p video recording, making them capable of handling basic photography and video calls. The device also includes practical additions like a 3.5mm headphone jack and an FM radio receiver, which are often appreciated by budget conscious buyers.

Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.1, Wi Fi 5, and a USB Type C 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. The Honor Play 10 reportedly carries a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support, which should comfortably last a full day of regular use.

The smartphone also comes with IP52 rated protection, making it resistant to dust and occasional splashes. Measuring 167.7 by 77.7 by 8.55 millimeters and weighing 189 grams, the Play 10 is reasonably slim and lightweight for its segment. It is expected to be available in Midnight Black, Starry Purple, and Ocean Cyan colour options, offering users some variety in design.

Currently, there is no official word from Honor on the pricing or exact availability of the device. Reports suggest that the phone will be offered in two configurations, one with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and another with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Play 10 has not yet appeared on the company’s official website or major online retailers, but its specifications make it a strong contender in the entry level smartphone market once it goes on sale.

With its large battery, expandable storage, lightweight design, and practical features, the Honor Play 10 is shaping up to be an appealing option for students, first time smartphone users, and anyone who wants an affordable yet capable device.
