The excitement around Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship smartphones just became official. After weeks of leaks, benchmark appearances, and design teasers, the Chinese smartphone giant has announced that the Xiaomi 15T series will make its global debut on September 25. The lineup will include at least two handsets, the standard Xiaomi 15T and the more powerful Xiaomi 15T Pro, both of which are expected to continue Xiaomi’s strong collaboration with Leica for advanced camera performance.

This launch is set to follow the success of the Xiaomi 14T series, but expectations are higher this time with the promise of next generation hardware and a refined camera system. The company has teased the design of the rear camera module, proudly carrying the Leica branding, which indicates that imaging will once again be a major focus. Reports suggest that both models will feature a triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 50 megapixel OmniVision OVX9100 sensor. This will be paired with a 13 megapixel ultrawide lens and a 50 megapixel telephoto shooter offering 5X optical zoom. For selfies, Xiaomi is said to include a 32 megapixel front camera, ensuring clarity and detail in every shot.

Under the hood, the standard Xiaomi 15T is expected to ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset, a processor that recently showed strong performance on Geekbench. Test results revealed single core scores of over 1300 and multi core efficiency that impressed for a phone in this class. The tested unit reportedly came with 12GB of RAM and Android 15 pre installed, which points to a smooth and responsive experience for users.

The more premium Xiaomi 15T Pro is believed to feature the Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset, making it even more powerful and capable of handling demanding tasks like gaming, video editing, and AI driven applications. The Pro model is also said to include a 5000mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging, while the standard version may come with slightly slower 67W fast charging. This means users can expect reliable all day power with the ability to quickly recharge when needed.

On the design front, both models are tipped to offer a high refresh rate OLED display for smooth scrolling and vivid visuals. The Xiaomi 15T Pro could also ship with an IP69 rating, making it resistant to dust and water, which is an added advantage for durability. Combined with Xiaomi’s sleek aesthetic and Leica tuned cameras, the 15T series looks set to appeal to both photography lovers and performance focused users.

Pricing details for the series have not yet been revealed and availability in markets like India remains uncertain. However, Xiaomi is expected to share more information as the September 25 launch date approaches. With the buzz already building, the Xiaomi 15T series has the potential to be one of the most exciting smartphone releases of the year.
