Xiaomi has introduced its latest innovation in the smart home category, the Smart Home Screen Max 27. Marketed as a movable home entertainment screen, it blends the convenience of a smart display with the fun of an entertainment hub. The device is now available for pre-orders in China and will go on sale on August 21, priced at CNY 3,999 which is roughly Rs 48,700.
The Smart Home Screen Max 27 is designed for versatility. It comes with a 27 inch anti glare touch display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and can be used in both landscape and portrait modes. The stand is rotatable, height adjustable, and even comes with hidden wheels for easy mobility. Whether you want to tilt it upward, downward, or rotate it for a different angle, the screen adapts to your needs seamlessly.
Running on HyperOS, Xiaomi’s own operating system, the device integrates Super XiaoAI to control other connected smart home devices. It doubles up as a home control hub while also offering entertainment features such as video streaming, music playback, karaoke, fitness apps, and even gaming connectivity with consoles like the Nintendo Switch. The addition of Mijia karaoke microphones turns the screen into a lively jukebox with real time lyrics, making it a complete party essential.
Inside, the Smart Home Screen Max 27 packs an octa core processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It includes a 5 megapixel front camera for video calls and runs on a huge 9,700mAh battery. Xiaomi claims it can deliver up to 13 days on standby, nine hours of continuous video streaming, or 52 hours of music playback. Connectivity is broad, with HDMI 1.4, USB Type A, and USB Type C ports included.
The Smart Home Screen Max 27 is currently exclusive to China, and Xiaomi has not confirmed plans for a global launch. If introduced worldwide, this could change how living rooms balance entertainment and smart home functionality, offering a stylish alternative to traditional displays.
