Top 5 iOS 26 Features You Need to Try on Your iPhone Right Now

Apple’s iOS 26 brings spam filters, AI powered Adaptive Power mode, interactive screenshots, Liquid Glass design, and simple custom ringtone settings for a smarter iPhone experience.

1:Smarter Spam Filtering

One of the most practical additions is the new spam filtering system. Messages from unknown numbers are automatically sorted into a separate folder, while suspected junk goes directly into spam. Calls from numbers outside your contacts are handled by Siri, which politely asks the caller to state their name and reason for calling. You then decide whether to answer, send them to voicemail, or block them outright.

2:Adaptive Power for Longer Battery Life

iOS 26 introduces Adaptive Power, an intelligent AI powered battery saver. This system activates only when the iPhone detects higher than usual power usage, such as while gaming, recording video, or editing photos. Rather than cutting performance across the board, it makes small adjustments in the background to give you extra hours when you need them most. The feature is enabled by default on iPhone 17 models but can be turned on manually in older devices that support Apple Intelligence.

3:Visual Intelligence in Screenshots

Screenshots are no longer static images. With iOS 26, your iPhone can analyse screenshots and offer suggestions. Want to run a reverse image search, schedule an event based on a captured date, or ask the built in AI questions about the content? All of this can now be done directly from the screenshot window, adding interactivity to something users do every day.

4:Liquid Glass Design

The most striking change in iOS 26 is its Liquid Glass design language. Buttons, menus, and notifications now have a softer, semi transparent look that blends with your wallpaper. The animations are smoother and more responsive, giving the interface a fluid and modern feel. It is not just cosmetic — it adds a sense of depth and dynamism to the entire iPhone experience.

5:Easier Custom Ringtones

Apple has finally made it simple to set your own ringtone. With iOS 26, you can choose any audio file under 30 seconds in MP3 or M4A format directly from the Files app. No more converting files or using iTunes. For the first time, iPhone users can enjoy the same flexibility that Android devices have long offered, but with Apple’s usual polish.

A Smarter, More Personal iPhone

With iOS 26, Apple is blending AI intelligence with visual elegance. Features like spam filtering and Adaptive Power address practical needs, while Liquid Glass and interactive screenshots redefine the daily experience. This update ensures your iPhone feels not just refreshed but smarter, more personal, and more useful than ever.
